Calix will develop a national network of independent coffeehouses, espresso bars, coffeebars, cafes, and coffeehouse/bookstores, largely non-profit, in which craft, hospitality, design, and justice can form a context in which relationships can develop over time and God can be experienced in the context of daily life. Our primary mode of making that happen will be the following:
+ the creation of detailed and content rich online interface, with various forms of media, a dedicated social network, various social media conncetions, and copious information to connect, inspire, educate, and launch the projects that God has put on the heart of thousands of people around the world. (new site coming in July)
+ the provision of hands on consulting to those seeking to bring about the deepest and highest quality expressions of the Calix vision to those around them.
+ the founding of strategically placed prototype models, that double as training centers around the country, to allow people carrying a similar vision to experience this form of community in person, get training in the various artisan crafts associated, and to learn the theology and methodology of this mode of engagement.
+ the establishment of regional conferences to connect, educate, and inspire this movement
